When ready to cook, add the following to pressure cooker....
Beans (drain off the water they have been soaking in)
3 1/2 cups water
2 T real maple syrup
2 T molasses
1 onion chopped
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp curry
1 tsp dry mustard
1/4 cup ketchup or BBQ sauce
As the mood strikes me - I also add these ingredients....
Jalapeno juice/slices
Celery Salt
Red Pepper flakes
Mrs Dash
Tabasco sauce
Check lid of presure cooker to make sure hole is not stopped up before putting on. Put burner on high until the pressure cooker top thing-ma-gig starts swaying (takes about 8 minutes) then turn burner to 4 and set timer for 45 minutes.
When timer goes off - remove cooker from hot burner and let it cool on its own. It will take about 10 minutes to be able to open pressure cooker. Beans are ready to eat!
